BATHTUB Care and Cleaning

For light daily use, we recommend rinsing the bath and/or basin with plenty of warm, soapy water. Bello has excellent stain resistance, but we recommend that bath and/or basin water containing additives (oils, bath salts, dyes etc.) is always drained and then the bath and/or basin cleaned with fresh, warm water immediately after use.  For unfamiliar surfaces test in small, inconspicuous area first.

General Care

  1. Do not clean with hot water when room temperature is below freezing.
  2. Avoid using razor blades or other sharp objects that might scratch the surface.
  3. Do not use harsh chemicals, such as hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, paint thinner, chloride solvents or any strong acid or base, as this will permanently damage the finish. Also avoid any cleaners that include lime removal agents such as CLR or Lime-A-Way, as these can also damage the finish. Avoid any bath products that contain natural or artificial dyes. Bello strongly recommends a professional surface repair person for deep scratches, chips or gouges,

General Cleaning Instructions

When Cleaning Remove dust and dry dirt with a soft, damp cloth.  Apply common household, non-abrasive cleaner. (i.e., a mild dishwashing detergent such as Ivory Liquid). Here are some common stain situations and their corresponding cleaning methods

1.Non-Greasy Stains:

Stains such as water marks after using the bathtub, wine, and food sauces can be cleaned with water and a soft cloth. Rinse and wipe simultaneously.

2.Greasy Stains:

For greasy stains like body oils, food oils, or mechanical grease, use hand soap or a kitchen-neutral cleaner. Wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water, then rinse with water.

3.Stains from Oil-Based Markers or Paint:

For oil-based marker stains, paint, etc., use organic solvents such as acetone or alcohol along with a soft cloth. After wiping, clean the area with a neutral detergent and rinse thoroughly with water.

4.Scratches:

For minor scratches, lightly rub with a scouring pad. For severe scratches, repeatedly rub with a scouring pad, then use car polish wax or floor polish wax with a soft cloth to reduce the appearance of the scratches. Note that it’s hard to remove scratches completely, but this can lessen their visibility. Do not use sandpaper.

5.If using a  sprayer hold  6″ – 12″ from the surface and spray the area. Note: For vertical surfaces, start from the bottom and work upward. Wipe the surface with a soft, damp sponge or cloth. Never use an abrasive material such as a brush or scouring pad.

Rinse well and dry with a soft, clean cloth. Scouring pads will deteriorate the finish.  Never use any type of “scrubbing bubbles” or aerosol spray cleaners on the Bello product.

Never use bleach, ammonia or organic solvents, such as lacquer, alcohol, acids or alkalis to come into contact with the product surface. Never use abrasive cleansers. If any product feels gritty when rubbed between your fingers, do not use on the Bello surface  as permanent damage will occur.

If any marks are not removed with this method, we recommend a mild, non-abrasive household cleaner. Clean grease, oil, paint or ink stains with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol or Mr. Clean® Magic Eraser. rinse and dry with a soft, dry cloth.  For more stubborn stains and small scratches sanding with 180 grit wet/dry sandpaper and then cleaning with damp cloth. Always rinse any cleaning products off the bath and/or basin after use with fresh, clean water.

Exterior Color

Remove dust or dry dirt with a soft, damp cloth, and clean with any mild dish soap and water or automotive cleaner for flat/matte or gloss finish, such as 3M Flitz automotive surface cleaner. Clean grease, oil, paint or ink stains with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Dry with a soft, dry cloth. Never use any abrasive cleaners. If any product feels gritty, it is NOT safe to use on the exterior color-finished surface.

Care and Cleaning Instructions for Bello Mirrored Medicine Cabinets

Thank you for choosing Bello mirrored medicine cabinets to enhance your living space. To ensure the longevity and pristine appearance of your mirrored cabinet(s), please follow these care and cleaning instructions carefully.

Routine Cleaning

Use Only Warm Water: When cleaning your mirrored medicine cabinet, only use warm water and a soft, lint-free cloth or sponge. Warm water is effective in removing dust, smudges, and light stains without damaging the mirror’s surface. When cleaning, spray the cloth, not the mirror, or surrounding surfaces.

Gentle Wiping Motion: Dampen the cloth or sponge with warm water and gently wipe the mirror surface in a circular motion. Avoid applying excessive pressure, as this may scratch or damage the mirror.

Dry Thoroughly: After cleaning, dry the mirror surface immediately with a clean, dry cloth to prevent water spots or streaks.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals

No Windex or Ammonia-Based Cleaners: Avoid using harsh chemicals such as Windex or any cleaners containing ammonia, bleach, or abrasives. These substances can damage the protective coating on the mirror and may void the warranty.

Non-Abrasive Cleaning Solutions: If additional cleaning is necessary, opt for mild, non-abrasive cleaners specifically formulated for glass or mirrors. A 50/50 solution of water and isopropyl alcohol is recommended for cleaning the mirrors or a mild detergent may be used on the surfaces.

Always test any cleaning solution on a small, inconspicuous area of the mirror before applying it to the entire surface.

Use as Directed

Failure to follow these care and cleaning instructions may void the warranty of your mirrored medicine cabinet. Only use warm water and mild cleaning solutions as recommended to maintain the warranty coverage.

Stubborn water stains:

spray the door with a solution of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water prior to wiping.  Wipe your shower door track regularly with a dry cloth after showering. Never use bristle brushes, abrasive sponges or cleaners, or sharp instruments on the glass panels or metal surfaces. They can scratch some glass and metal surfaces.

Metal surfaces, never use cleaners containing abrasives, ammonia, bleach, acids, waxes, alcohol, or solvents as they may damage the finish. Use of harsh cleaning agents may void warranty obligations.
